Brand Finance conducts close to 100 industry-leading analytical studies every year to promote its work to clients and the media. We are looking for an articulate, organised, and enthusiastic candidate with an eye for a story to support our external communications, with a particular focus on maintaining the company’s reputation for insightful analysis and raising its growing profile globally.

Working as part of the Brand Finance team, you will report to the Associate Communications Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying compelling stories based on our analysis and current business news stories
  • Copywriting press releases and producing reports
  • Building relationships with journalists and corporate communications departments
  • Managing journalist lists and monitoring media coverage.

We invest heavily in our staff and upon completion of a six-month probationary period you will have the opportunity to take courses offered by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Chartered Institute of Marketing, and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Financial and marketing literacy and a good knowledge of business news and current affairs
  • Initiative and ability to work independently
  • Organised, committed, results-orientated and friendly
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree in any discipline

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Work experience in PR, communications, journalism, finance or a B2B role
  • Strong interest in and understanding of business news and current affairs
  • Desire to build a career in financial or corporate PR
  • Postgraduate degree in media/journalism or a financial/business subject
  • Additional languages (in particular German and Arabic)

PACKAGE

Salary Range:

  • £28,000 to £30,000 dependant on experience

Paid Leave including but not limited to:

  • Annual: 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
  • Sick: 5 days per annum
  • Maternity: Up to 18 weeks paid
  • Paternity Leave: Up to 2 weeks paid

Hybrid Working Model - following completion of probation period:

  • Work from Home: 9 days optional (in addition to Mondays & Fridays)
  • Contribution to Home Office Set up

Additional:

  • Funded Training and Qualification opportunities
  • Option to join Company Healthcare scheme (after 6 months) 
  • Auto Enrolment to Company Pension scheme (after 3 months)
