Software Engineering Project Manager

Full-time
Software Engineering
London, UK

A junior to mid-level Project Manager / Scrum Master with experience of Agile development to join our in-house Software Engineering team based in Central London.

OVERVIEW

This is an opportunity to gain experience and directly contribute to the success of a small but growing team with a start-up mindset, creating innovative products based on an established business model. You will support our senior engineers in the UK and Sri Lanka in collecting user requirements, planning tasks, monitoring progress and communicating project plans and timelines to senior leadership in London. As the team grows, you will help us to cultivate a collaborative, user-focused culture of open communication, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Brand Finance is a unique consultancy which ‘bridges the gap between marketing and finance’. We are a dynamic group of financial analysts, marketers, and researchers, working on a challenging mix of analytical and interpretive projects. For over 15 years, we have produced the world’s largest database of brand valuations and brand rankings, which is published and referenced in thousands of publications every year and used by some of the world’s largest companies to drive predictive financial models and strategic decisions.

To produce these valuations, our analyst team collects vast amounts of technical and financial data from proprietary and public sources. Our proprietary internal software organises, calculates and helps to analyse the inputs to produce valuations, strategic insights and recommendations. Our external websites, brandfinance.com and brandirectory.com, provide our clients with a flexible interface to access the wealth of information and data behind the top-line results. We are constantly iterating on and improving our software design and tech stack to ensure that Brand Finance remains on the cutting edge of our field.

Day-to-day work in the first few months will include facilitating sprint planning, standups and sprint reviews, organising backlog tasks and user requests, and preparing summary progress reports for senior management. We use Jira for task management, Bitbucket for code control, and a combination of Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI for reporting.
