Brand Finance GIFT 2016

10 May 2016, 08:30–11:30

Time for a Revolution in the Financial Reporting of Intangibles Assets?

Accounting for the Business, Not just the Balance Sheet: Celebrating the launch of GIFT 2016

Are you accounting for the whole of the business to tell your full value creation story? With continued importance being placed on the value of intangible assets can you afford not to do so?

According to a major new report, ‘Global Intangible Financial Tracker 2016’, produced by Brand Finance in partnership with CIMA, intangible value represents an ever-growing part of corporate enterprise value. However, the report identifies inconsistencies in approach to measuring this value and a shortfall in international reporting standards, resulting in financial statements which fail to fully reflect the value of companies’ intangible assets.

Management accounting supports business leaders to account for the whole of the business, not just to balance sheet, to take decisions that create value and drive performance for the short, medium and long-term.

Join us on Tuesday May 10th to hear senior business leaders discuss their approach to measuring intangibles for value creation. Book your place early as spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
