and Resorts
For 2026, what is the one thing about your business or brand that makes you optimistic and the one thing that concerns you the most?
What gives me the greatest confidence is the enduring strength of trusted hospitality brands and the resilience of global travel demand. As a Singapore-born hospitality company, Millennium Hotels & Resorts has built its reputation on the values Singapore is known for globally, trust, service excellence, innovation and
connectivity. Combined with the warmth and attentiveness of Asian hospitality, these qualities continue to resonate with travellers seeking brands they can rely on.
In an increasingly competitive marketplace, brand trust is a significant commercial advantage. It influences guest choice, strengthens loyalty, supports direct bookings and creates long-term value. Our focus is on continually enhancing that trust through differentiated experiences, a stronger loyalty ecosystem and meaningful guest relationships.
The greatest challenge is keeping pace with the rapid evolution of technology, distribution channels and consumer expectations while maintaining the consistency and service excellence that define our brands. Success will depend on embracing innovation while preserving the authentic hospitality that has always been our competitive strength.

What factors are driving these views?
Global travel demand remains resilient, supported by increasing international mobility and consumers' growing preference for meaningful experiences.
At the same time, AI, data and digital technologies are transforming how hospitality businesses understand demand, personalise engagement
and optimise commercial performance.
The operating environment, however, is becoming increasingly complex. Rising customer acquisition costs, evolving distribution models and economic
uncertainty require hospitality companies to be more agile than ever while maintaining disciplined cost management and strong brand differentiation.
While technology is reshaping the industry, the fundamentals remain unchanged. Travellers continue to value brands they trust to deliver consistent quality and genuine hospitality.
Our Singapore heritage and Asian hospitality values provide a strong foundation, while continued investment in digital capabilities and customer insights enables us to evolve with changing expectations without losing the human connection that defines Millennium Hotels & Resorts.

Leaders tell us that AI and digitalisation are an evolving journey. In your organisation, how are AI and digitalisation reshaping your value proposition, brand-building, operations, or customer experience?
AI and digitalisation are helping us deliver hospitality that is both more personalised and more efficient. While technology enables smarter commercial decisions and greater operational agility, our objective is to enhance, not replace the warmth, attentiveness and personalised service that are hallmarks of Asian hospitality.
Across Millennium Hotels & Resorts, AI supports more effective revenue management, marketing personalisation, demand forecasting and customer
engagement, enabling us to better anticipate guest needs and respond more quickly to changing market conditions. At the same time, digital innovations such as voice-controlled in-room technology and service robots at selected M Social hotels help remove friction from the guest journey, allowing our colleagues to focus on delivering meaningful, high-value interactions.
Ultimately, technology is most effective when it strengthens the guest experience while supporting sustainable commercial growth. Our goal is to combine trusted hospitality with intelligent innovation to create experiences that are seamless, memorable and uniquely Millennium.
What challenges have you successfully worked through, and how has this influenced the way you deploy AI and digitalisation?
One of our biggest learnings has been that successful digital transformation is as much about people and culture as it is about technology. The challenge is not
identifying innovative solutions but integrating them effectively across a global portfolio while ensuring strong governance, quality data and organisational
adoption.
This has reinforced the importance of investing in technology with a clear business purpose, whether improving guest satisfaction, increasing operational
efficiency or strengthening commercial performance. As we expand our digital capabilities, one principle remains constant: technology should enhance, not
diminish, the personal service our guests associate with Millennium Hotels & Resorts.
The future of hospitality will be shaped by the right balance of innovation and human connection. By combining AI with the trusted values of Singapore hospitality and the warmth of Asian service, we can create better experiences for our guests while delivering stronger long-term business outcomes.
In 2026, leaders are exploring how global brands can show up locally to allow greater local flexibility while protecting overall coherence. Where has increased
local freedom delivered significant impact for your brand?
As a Singapore-headquartered global hospitality company, we have always believed that global standards and local authenticity go hand in hand. As Singapore’s national brand, Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) provides a strong foundation of trusted hospitality and service excellence, while our Asian
perspective encourages us to celebrate the culture and character of every destination we operate in.
A strong example is M Social, where each property shares the same lifestyle positioning centred on creativity, social connection and contemporary design, while expressing these values through local neighbourhood partnerships, destination-led experiences and culturally relevant programming. This allows every hotel to feel authentic to its market while remaining unmistakably M Social.
Across our wider portfolio, local flexibility also enables our hotels to develop partnerships, curate food and beverage experiences and tell stories that
resonate with local communities and travellers alike. This strengthens guest engagement, creates greater market differentiation and enhances commercial
performance while reinforcing the strength of the overall Millennium Hotels & Resorts brand.
In managing this balance, what are some of the key lessons learned?
One of our most important lessons is that consistency should come from shared values and guest expectations, not identical execution. Guests increasingly seek authentic experiences, and that authenticity is created by empowering local teams to reflect the culture, flavours and stories of their destinations.
Our signature dining concept, Beast & Butterflies, is a good example. While every restaurant is guided by the same philosophy of bringing people together
through social dining and discovery, each location interprets the concept through locally inspired menus and culinary experiences. This creates a sense of familiarity while ensuring every experience feels genuine and relevant to its destination.
We have found that guests value brands that are globally trusted yet locally meaningful.
By protecting the core values of Millennium Hotels & Resorts while empowering our hotels to express local culture, we strengthen guest connections, create meaningful differentiation and build long-term brand value across our portfolio.
