After studying law, Dr. Holger Muehlbauer taught as a research assistant at the informatics faculty of the University of Technology Berlin. In 1995 he became one of the managing directors at the German Institute for Standardization (DIN) in Berlin. Beyond other responsibilities he was the lead secretary of multiple European and international standardization groups of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). He is author of several publications on standardisation.
Holger initiated the ISO project "Brand valuation", which subsequently lead to ISO 10668 "Requirements for monetary brand valuation". Since then, he is engaged in ISO 10668 conformity assessment, as well as in ISO 20252 certification (Requirements on services of market, opinion and social research).
After a year at the National Standardization Institution of Austria (ASI) in Vienna, in 2009 Holger became managing director of the IT security association Germany (TeleTrusT), the largest competence network for IT security in Europe.
Among a number of different side activities, he acts as the Brand Finance technical point of contact for Germany, Austria and Switzerland..
